Our role: platform, fees, and who makes which promises

FILM.FUND is a software platform earning subscription and one-time platform fees only. Companies make the representations about their own projects — here is the clean division of responsibility.

What FILM.FUND is — platform only

FILM.FUND is a software, verification, intelligence, and workflow platform. Our revenue comes exclusively from platform fees: subscriptions and one-time flat fees for verification, AI reports, data rooms, discovery, and workflow tools. Every fee is published, and none is ever calculated from or contingent on any deal, raise, or sale.

Where financing actually happens

  • Any raise belongs entirely to the company running it — on its own site, with its own securities counsel, and with any licensed intermediaries it engages directly
  • Anyone interested in a project’s financing is pointed to the company itself; discussions, documentation, and funding happen off-platform between the parties
  • No money for any transaction ever touches FILM.FUND — we hold no funds, operate no escrow, and process no investments

What FILM.FUND is not

  • Not a broker-dealer, placement agent, or funding portal — we do not sell, solicit, manage, or execute securities in any way, shape, or form
  • Not the issuer, underwriter, or guarantor of any project or outcome
  • Not an investment adviser — nothing on the platform is investment, legal, or tax advice
  • Not a custodian of anyone’s money — we never handle transaction funds or escrow

Who represents and warrants what

  • Companies represent and warrant the accuracy of their own project claims — budget, attachments, rights/chain of title, incentives, and plans — in whatever documents they issue themselves
  • Anyone engaging with a company on financing does so directly with that company and relies on their own licensed and legal advisers
  • FILM.FUND represents the operation of the platform itself: published fees, the workflow tools we provide, and the verification steps we say we perform

Verification helps — it does not transfer responsibility

Our verification flow checks claims against evidence and assigns a GreenlightScore™ measuring operational readiness only. Verification is a diligence aid, not a guarantee and never an endorsement, and does not shift a company’s responsibility for its representations onto the platform.

FAQ

If a project fails, does FILM.FUND owe anyone anything?+

No. FILM.FUND is not a party to any financing and does not guarantee any outcome. Film and media ventures involve substantial risk; anyone financing a project deals directly with the company and bears that relationship’s risks.

Who do I contact about a misleading listing?+

Report it via the Feedback button or contact@film.fund. Verified misrepresentation leads to delisting and is addressed under the listing agreement.

FILM.FUND is a technology platform, not the issuer of any offering, and does not provide investment, legal, or tax advice. All investments involve risk, including total loss of capital.
